Founded in 1909, Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Years 9-13, with a roll of approximately 670 students. Guidance Counsellor
Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Years 9-13, with a roll of approximately 690 students. We have built an enviable reputation for outstanding academic, cultural and sporting performance and achievement.
The school is committed to its Anglican special character, with a central pastoral care structure and programme to support holistic education to the highest standards, in assisting students in developing their full potential.
We are looking for a tertiary qualified counsellor with relevant professional affiliation. You will need to be experienced in student welfare including anxiety and anxiety-related issues, to join our pastoral care team. Previous experience as a school counsellor or experience in a similar role is preferred.
The counselling practice is housed in the Wellness Centre with one other full-time Guidance Counsellor, the School Nurse, and other allied health professionals, in a multi-professional team setting.
The role requires a warm, approachable, values-based practitioner, experienced in client-centered counselling modalities, with relationship-building skills, specifically with adolescent young people.
This position is Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week. Weeks per year to be negotiated between 44-52. You must be eligible to work in New Zealand, and pass New Zealand Police vetting.

Barista
MR GOODFELLOW – Waikato Diocesan School for Girls
Experienced Barista / FOH Assistant Required
Waikato Diocesan School for Girls is an integrated Anglican day and boarding school for girls in Years 9-13, with a roll of approximately 690 students. The school is committed to personal excellence with a strong emphasis on pastoral care. We have built an enviable reputation for outstanding academic, cultural and sporting performance and achievement.
We are looking for a reliable, energetic and experienced barista who is capable of providing exceptional customer service and producing an EXCELLENT cup of coffee at SPEED.
You must have the following attributes:
2 years’ experience in a fast-paced barista setting
Can step in and help the catering team
Able to provide references to back up your experience
Friendly and outgoing personality
Ambition and commitment to the role
Work well under pressure
The Barista works out of the school’s PMC kitchen; we use “Heat & Anger” coffee roasters from Hamilton.
This is predominantly a Monday-Friday role with daytime shifts. Approx. 30-35 hours per week between 7am and 3pm, term time only. You will be working as part of a team that LOVES all things hospitality.
You must be eligible to work in New Zealand and pass New Zealand Police vetting.
